Risk Management & Compliance Assistant

The Role
Our client seeks an Assistant to join the regulatory risk management and compliance team. The role will involve:
- Advising clients on practical implications of new regulatory developments;
- Keeping abreast of all regulatory developments that might affect the firm's client base and being actively involved in lobbying during consultation phases of the formation of such developments;
- Assisting clients with their applications for authorisation from the Financial Regulator;
- Assisting clients with resolving regulatory issues and difficulties that they may encounter from time to time;
- Advising on the various regulatory issues that arise from time to time across the financial services industry;
- Marketing and Practice Development;
- Team development.

The Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a background in the Financial Services sector industry in a compliance related role but not necessarily as legal counsel. The person should have the ability to work off his/ her own initiative and to produce detailed answers to specific queries using both the internal resources of the firm and external resources.
